Why do you want my city, state, e-mail and home phone?
We need to have a way to contact you in case we need to reach you about our service. Your
e-mail address enables us to send you information about changes or problems we're having.
Are you going to now deluge me with junk mail and spam and sell my information to others?
The Washington Post will not use your information for any purpose other than to contact you about the ScorePost service.
For more details see the
company's privacy policy
What happens after I fill out this form?
A password will be sent to the cell phone number you provide. Once you get that, return here and log in with your
cell phone number and password and select the schools or leagues for which you wish to receive scores.
What does the service cost?
It's free to sign up, however your cell phone provider may charge you its regular per-message charge. If you have
a cell phone plan that includes a certain number of text messages, scores you receive from The Post will count against your quota.
How many schools and/or leagues may I add to my notification list?
For now, you can choose up to five leagues and 10 schools, however be aware that the more you choose, the more text messages you will get.
This may cost you more money on your cell phone plan.
Are all high school sports included in this service?
For now, it's just football and basketball.
How late in the evening will I be getting messages?
The sender service operates from 1 pm until 1 am every day.
